New E-books trial: until the end of June ITM has a free trial access to “Ebsco Clinical Collection” (https://lib.itg.be/ebooks.htm), a package of 1700 e-books on clinical medicine (list: https://lib.itg.be/clinicalebooks.xls ). These e-books are already fully integrated in full-text format in our new ITM-specific search engine “Ebsco Discovery Service” (http://search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?authtype=ip,uid&profile=eds ) which in the near future will also feature our complete library catalog.

New E-journals trial: until the end of May we also have a free trial access to over 200 journals published by Informa Healthcare (http://informahealthcare.com). A lucky opportunity to get a number of additional articles on your specialty, or maybe an extra inspiration when finalising your departmental requests lists for journal subscriptions for 2014?

Library questionnaire: at the start of this year we asked the ITM staff about their satisfaction with library collections and services. 84 colleagues responded with an overall rating of 87%. For most questions we received far more ‘5’ and ‘4’ value scores (high) than ‘2’ and ‘1’ (low). Nieuwe E-books trial: tot einde juni loopt voor ITG een gratis trial op “Ebsco Clinical Collection” (https://lib.itg.be/ebooks.htm), een pakket van 1700 e-books m.b.t. klinische geneeskunde (overzicht: https://lib.itg.be/clinicalebooks.xls ). Deze zijn meteen ook volledig in full-text formaat geïntegreerd in onze nieuwe ITG-specifieke zoekmachine “Ebsco Discovery Service” (http://search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?authtype=ip,uid&profile=eds ) waarin weldra ook de volledige bibliotheekcatalogus opgenomen zal zijn.

Een eenmalige gelegenheid om extra artikels op uw vakgebied te bekomen of misschien ook een inspiratiebron bij het finaliseren van de departementale verlanglijstjes voor de ITG abonnementen 2014?

Bibliotheek enquête: begin dit jaar peilden we bij de ITGers naar hun tevredenheid over bibliotheek­collecties en dienstverlening. 84 collega’s reageerden en gaven de bibliotheek­diensten en collecties een algemene waardering van 87%. Bij de meeste vragen kregen we als rapportcijfer beduidend meer ‘5’ en ‘4’ (hoog) dan ‘2’ en (heel af en toe) ‘1’ (laag).
