| Electronic journals | The ITG library is offering access to an increasing number of electronic journals (including over 400 Wiley-Blackwell journals and 1500 EbscoHost journals), available on the Internet. Access to these journals is available from our Website, by means of the Selected links to journal Web pages list. It should, however, be borne in mind that only some of them offer access to full-text versions, while others offer only general information (e.g. subscriptions, author instructions, etc.) tables of contents, or abstracts. The degree of availability is indicated in this list. For explanation of the codes used, see the top of this electronic journals list. |
| Printed journals | The ITG library contains some 1,600 different journals, 500
of which are currently received. Both current and discontinued periodicals
are represented in both the printed Periodicals
Catalogue and the electronic
ITG Library Serials Holdings database.
Recent issues of current journals are kept in the main "Broden" reading room, arranged alphabetically on the stacks. Bound volumes are kept in the "Rodhain" reading room. They are also arranged alphabetically. The journal issues and bound volumes can be taken freely from the stacks, but should be left on one of the reshelving tables after use. Unbound issues and reference journals should always stay in the library. Bound journals can be borrowed by ITG staff for a maximum period of one week, provided these remain immediately available within the Institute. Students and visitors cannot borrow any journals. |
